My name is Ryan Schneider and I currently am Senior Software Engineer at Thomson Reuters in Rochester, NY. Starting in 2007 I became highly interested in large scale web applications and more specifically cloud computing. The ability to not just virtualize the computing environment to alleviate hardware headaches, but also provide utilities for quick startup of applications with scaling in mind is a wonderful approach and one that I have been researching and prototyping with for awhile.
This blog will be my share of views on cloud computing, experience, and ideas on how to best leverage the concept. Additionally I will pay close attention on how to bring the power of the cloud into the internal network and constraints of the enterprise where having data and resources run outside of the company are blasphemy.
